In the framework of the Russian Industrial and Environmental Forum and Exhibition «RosPromEco-2014» will take place the round table «Resource conservation for sustainable development».
The most important condition of sustainable development is the rational use of natural resources. This can be achieved, on the one hand, by the reduction of natural resources’ losses at all stages of the life cycle (production, transportation, storage and use, disposal under transformation to waste), and, on the other hand, by the maximum involvement into the economic turnover of production and consumption waste. World experience shows that environmental recovery is achieved not so much by limiting production or consumption, and effective cleaning of generated emissions, but due to the application of resource conservation’ and energy saving’ technologies and involvement of the waste into the economic turnover.
In the framework of the «round table» the directions of perfection of normative-legal base in the field of economic incentives for implementation of low-waste and resource-saving technologies, re-engaging secondary resources into the economic turnover will be discussed.
According to the results of the «round table» the resolution containing the recommendations to the Russian authorities in the part of improving legal framework and the formation of the information-technical manuals on best available techniques in the field of scrap into the economic turnover will be prepared.
