In the framework of the VI Nevsky International Ecological Congress members of Organizing Committee of Russian Industrial and Environmental Forum "RosPromEco-2013" participated in preparation and holding of the round table "Problems of waste production and consumption and its solutions".
Member of the Council under the Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on agriculture and nature management, Honorary President of the Forum "RosPromEco" Nikolay Churkin and CEO of the Russian Industrial and Environmental Forum "RosPromEco" Andrey Epishov discussed the problems of waste management together with other participants of the discussion.
During the event the issues of increase of public ecological culture in respect of waste production and consumption were discussed, and also reviewed the primary role of government in this area. Special attention was paid to the discussion of measures taken by the participants of the legislative process in terms of improvement of normative legal base in the field of waste management of production and consumption.
Participants came to a conclusion that our country needs a new basic law of direct action, regulating, including the handling of secondary resources.
