The Open Joint Stock Company Management Company for Waste Handling in the Leningrad Region was established in accordance with the Order of the Government of the Leningrad Region nr. 41-p dated February 13, 2008 in order to ensure environmental safety in waste handling in the Leningrad Region.

The main statutory objectives of the organization in accordance with the specified order are:

• Support the local authorities in the implementation of powers in the field of waste management.
• Environmental monitoring to ensure environmental safety in the Leningrad Region.
• Organization of safe disposal of non-recyclable waste parts.
