The OJSC Moscow United Electric Grid Company – one of the largest distribution electric grid companies in Russia officially confirmed the participation of its representatives in the business program of the Russian Industrial and Environmental Forum “RosPromEco-2014”.
Since 2008, the OJSC Moscow United Electric Grid Company has been certified in compliance with the International Standard for Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001:2004. In order to confirm compliance with the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Standard requirements, the certification body Bureau Veritas Certification conducts annual audits.
The functioning of the EMS allows to identify the environmental aspects (EA) of the Company and determine the most significant of them requiring additional management measures for the inclusion in the environmental action plan of activities to reduce the significance of the EA. The implementation of the measures under the EMS allowed for the last 3 years to reduce the generation of waste 1-3 class of hazard by 12%, water consumption for domestic needs – by 38%, the total amount of pollutant emissions – by 20%.
